Anxiety.-

  • Ars Album 30, 5h. with pain in abdomen so violent that he grasped those about him, and again pushed them from him, frequently jumped out of bed and sat on the chamber, or ran about. Pain in the abdomen, with heat in the face.

    Depression of Spirits and Melancholia. -

  • Ign. 3, 6h. These cases often require very careful assessment and skilful homeopathic treatment along classical lines. From grief or worry; or at the change of life,
  • Ars. 3, 6h. Melancholy, restlessness, irritability, anxiety, anguish.
  • Tarent. 3, 6h. Prostration, un-appeasable restlessness, convulsive trembling.
  • Plumb. Acet. 6, 6h. Religious melancholy with constipation.
  • Spigel. 3, 6h. Depression, with pain at the heart.
  • Act. Rac. 3, 4h. Gloom as if a black pall were over everything; fears going crazy; suicidal; visions of rats, etc.
  • Aur. Met. 3, gr. v. 8h.Suicidal melancholia; inquietude; hopelessness; < sunset to sunrise.
  • Con. 30, 6h. Depression, timidity, taciturnity, aversion to society; from sexual causes, as enforced abstention.
  • Nat. m. 6, 6h. Sadness during the menses; depression, with palpitation on lying down at night, or after food.
  • Plat. 3-6, 6h. Nymphomania.
  • Sen. Aur. gtt. Ii., unit doses repeated every 7 or 10 days. Nymphomania, With suppressed menses.
  • Bell. 3, 3h. Acute melancholia.
  • Hell. 3, 3h. Melancholia after typhus fever; and in girls at puberty.

    Encephalitis Letargic. (Sleepy Sicknes).-

  • Helleb. Nig. 1-30, 1h. This is the nearest general analogue.
  • Bapt. 1-30, 1h. With typhoid condition, loaded tongue.

    Epilepsy. -

    (The general condition of the patient must always be considered. Epilepsy will often be removed by medicines homeopathic to the general conditions when medicine chosen according to the characteristics of the convulsions alone would have no influence. The following remedies are recommended on the supposition that the convulsions are the only or at any rate the only serious departure from health.) Recent Epilepsy.-

  • Kali Cyan. 3, 8h. Falls insensible, turns blue, violent convulsions; dyspnoea.
  • Bell. 1x-3, 6h. Recent, in young, sanguine subjects.
  • Kali. Bro. 30, 8h. Epilepsy with mental habitude; with cerebral congestion, coming on at each menstrual period.
  • Absinth. 3, 8h. Petit mal.
  • Cic. V. 3, 6h. Violent convulsions, frightful distortions of eyes and limbs opisthotonus.
  • Oenanth. Croc. 3x, 6h. Violent convulsions, rigidity, foaming at the mouth.
  • Ign. 3, 6h. From emotional disturbance.
  • Stram. 3, 6h. Recent epilepsy caused by freight; in stammerers.
  • Op. 3, 6h. Fits coming on in sleep, much drowsiness, constipation.
  • Arg. N. 6, gtt. ii. 8h. Associated with digestive disorder, excessive belching of flatulence. (when the belching is premonitory of a fit, Arg. N. taken every half-hour will prevent it..)

    Chronic Epilepsy.-

  • Bufo 6, 8h. In general.
  • Calc. C. 6, 8h. In pale, lymphatic subjects.
  • Sil. 6. 8h. Fits during sleep, nervous irritability.
  • Opium 3, 8h. Fits in sleep, drowsiness, constipation.
  • Plumb. 30, 8h. Very obstinate constipation, cachexia, malnutrition, unhealthy skin.
  • Act. R. 1, ½ h. When the "aura" is a wavy sensation in the brain.
  • Sulph. 200 at bedtime, Will ward off a fit. In subjects of sulphur type, followed, if necessary, by Pso. 200 at bedtime. Also remedies named above under Recent Epilepsy when the symptoms correspond.

    Excitement, Effects Of.-

  • Acon. 3, 1h. Fever and restlessness.
  • Bell. 3, 1h. Headache.
  • Coff. 3, 1h. Sleeplessness.
  • Cham. 6, 1h. Bilious derangement.

    Fear Or Fright.-

  • Acon. 3, 1h. Congestion of the head, feverish heat, restlessness, great fear, fear of death.
  • Bell. 3, 1h. Continued anguish with fear cries and tears.
  • Kali. C. 6, 4h. Fears to be alone, especially evenings in bed.
  • Plat. 30, 8h. Great fear of death with sadness.
  • Stram. 6, 4h. Fears to be in the dark.
  • Arg. Nit. 30 ; Eathusa 30, These two may be combined, or given in alternation twice daily. Examination funk. Commencing day prior, and continuing through examination period.
  • Anac. 1, 4h. Stage-fright.
