—Congestion.—

  • Bell. 3, 1h. In early stage, with feverish symptoms, flushed face.
  • Tereb. 3, 1h. Suppression of urine, bloody urine, after scarlatina.

    Bright's Disease.—

  • Apis 3x, 1h. Incipient, with dropsy.
  • Canth. 3, 1h. Inflammation of the kidneys with suppression of urine, as after scarlatina.
  • Ars. 3, 2h. Tubular nephritis, (especially after scarlatina), albuminuria, tube-casts, dropsy, thirst for cold water, anxiety, desire for warmth. Chronic Bright's Disease: Prostration, restlessness, anxiety, thirst, cool skin, internal heat, dropsy.
  • Mere. C. 3, 2h. Nephritis of pregnancy; suppurative nephritis.
  • Ferr. Met. 6, 8h. Pale bloated appearance, chilly, vomiting of food or passing it undigested, fullness of the head, nose-bleeding, irritable patients
  • Ferr. Phos. 3, gr. v. 8h. Fever, headache, irritation of the bladder and frequent desire to pass water.
  • Plumb. 6, 4h. Granular degeneration, gouty kidney, pale, bloated, heavy expression, melancholy disposition, costiveness.

    Calculus.-Biliary (Gall-Stones, Passage Of).--

  • Calc. C. 30, 15m.
  • Berb. V. Q, 15m . If Calc. C. Fail to relieve within three hours, Berb Q 15 m.
  • Diosc. Q or 30, ½ h. Pains radiating from gall-bladder; > by moving about, or bending backward.
  • Card. Mar. Q, 4h. When pain is felt in left lobe of liver.
  • China. 6, 8h. Those subject to gall-stones should not go too long (not more than six hour during the day) without food. Pure olive oil may be taken freely by those subject to Biliary obstruction. For prevention of their formation. China 6 for four weeks, and then at increasing intervals, “Poland Water” in the best drinking water in these cases.
  • Chel. Q, 5 . In gall-stones cases. Chel. Q, 5 drops in a little water three times daily after meals for several weeks or longer will promote free flow of bile and together with China. 6, night and morning for 14 days then morning only for 14 days will help a high percentage of cases.

    Renal, Passage Of.-

  • Oc. Can. 30, 15m. Agonising pain, twists about, screams and groans; red urine with brick-dust sediment.
  • Diosco. Q-30, 15m. Writhing with crampy pains, must move about.
  • Berb. V. Q, 15m. Violent sticking pains in bladder, extending from kidneys into urethra, with urging to urinate.
  • Pareira Bra. Q, in a warm glass of water every half-hour. If Berb. V. fail.

    Preventation.-

  • Berb. V. Q, 6h. Gravelly urine, pain in back and loin.
  • Urti. Ur. Q, 8h. Tendency to store uric acid in the tissue, gouty subjects. Dink Distilled water.

  • Vasical, Tendency To see. Geavel.

    Gravel.--

  • Lyc. 6, 4h. Red sandy sediment with flatulence in the abdomen and constipation.
  • 1).Urtica Ur. Q, 6h. If Lyc fail .
  • 2). Cocc. Cact. Q, 4h. If Lyc fail .
  • Phos. Ac. 2x, 4h. White phosphatic sediment.
  • Graph. 6, 4h. White sediments after standing, acrid sourish odour.
  • Ocimum. Can. 3-30, 4h. Turbid urine, white sediments, red(bloody) urine, with brick-dust sediments.
  • Berb. V. Q, 4h. White or whitish-grey, and later, mealy reddish sediment; pain in the urethra.
  • Sep. 6, 4h. Pasty sediment, reddish or white.
  • Nit. Mur. Ac. 1, 4h. Oxalate of lime deposite.
  • Oxal. Ac. 3, 4h. Oxalate of lime deposite.
  • Sarsa. 6, 4h. Turbid immediately after passing, like clay water, much pain at end of urinating; white sand, scanty, slimy, flaky urine, tenesmus of bladder.

    Urethra.-Inflammation Of. See Gleet, Gonorrhoea.

    Caruncle. See under Tumours.

    Spasmodic Structure.

  • Camph. 1x, 10m. Pure Spasm.
  • Aco. Fever as well as spasm.( A dose of Aco. 3 given half an hour or fifteen minutes before the catheter is passed will frequently add greatly to the patient’s comfort.) [These are well supplemented by a hot bath.]
  • Nux. V. 3, 1h. In more chronic cases.

    Organic Stricture.-

  • Clem. q, 2h. Commencing.
  • Sil. 3, 8h. In established. Also Phose. 3, 4h. Thios. 3x, 4h. When acute symptoms supervene, medicines recommended for Strangury must be given and the necessity of catheterism must always be born in mind.

  • Benz. Ac. 3x, 4h. Strong-smelling, like 'horses'.
  • Nit. Ac. 4h. Strong-smelling, like 'horses'.
  • Tereb. 3, 4h. Smelling like violets.
  • Uran. Nit. 3x, gr. ii.-30, 8h. Fishy odour.
  • Borax 6, 8h. Pungent smell.
  • Cina 3, 8h. Mucus; white sediment; incontinence in children.
  • Oxal. Ac. 5, 8h. White deposit of oxalates, pain in the back.
  • Phos. Ac. 1x, 4h. Phosphatic
  • Calc. Phos. 1-30, 8h. Phosphatic
  • Lyc. 3, gr. ii.-6, 4h. Red deposit, with constipation.
  • Sep. 6, 4h. Red deposit, lithic acid dyspepsia.
  • Berb. 6, 4h. Brown or white deposit, pain in groins.
  • Graph. 6, 4h. Thick white deposit, ill-smelling.
  • Cina 3, 4h. White urine (with worms).
  • lod. 3x, 4h. Galacturia, or chylous, or milky urine.
  • Scill. Acet. 1,4h. Pale and excessive in quantity.

    Micturition, Abnormal.--

  • Canth. 3, 2h. Burning or scalding, painful
  • Copavia. 3, 2h. Constant ineffectual desire; contraction of urethra; emission in drops.
  • Apis. 3x, 2h. Urine scanty and high colored; burning soreness when urinating; frequent desire, passes only a few drops.
  • Petrosel. Q, 8h. Sudden and frequent urging to urinate.
  • Clem. 1-30, 1h. Flow interrupted by sudden spasm of urethra.
  • Con. 6, 2h. Urine drops suddenly and does not begin to flow again for some moments.

    Micturation, Frequent.--

  • Caust. 3x, 8h. At night in old people.
  • Kali. C. Frequent at night; urging to urinate, but it is a long time before he is able.
  • Carlsbad 6, 8h. Urging after drinking water.
  • Nux. V. 3, 2h. Frequent urging with constipation.
  • Ign. 3, 8h. After drinking coffee.
  • Lil. T. 30, once a day. Violent urging with dragging pains.

    Suppression And Retention Of Urine.-

  • Camph. 1x, 10m. From cold.
  • Tereb. 3, ¼ h. If it does not yield within one or two hours.
  • Aco. 3, ¼ h. If there is fever, anxiety, restlessness, fear.
  • Nux. V. 3, ¼ h. Spasmodic.
  • Ign. 3, ¼ h. Hysterical.
  • Op. 3, ¼ h. Paralytic; after operations.

    Incontinence Of.--

  • Kreas. 3, 8h. In children when difficult to awaken.
  • Kali. Brom. 3, at bed time. From too profound sleep.
  • Puls. 3, 4h. Dribbling whilst sitting and walking; on coughing; on emitting flatus; in bed at night.
  • Ferr. Phos. 3, 6h. Incontinence during the day only, or chiefly.
  • Verbasc. T. 3, 4h. Constant dribbling.
  • Caust. 6, 4h. Involuntary passage of water during coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc.
  • Ferr. Met. 6, or Ferr. Mur. 3x, 4h.
  • Puls. 3x, 4h. Involuntary passage of water during coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc.
  • Caps. 3, 4h. Involuntary passage of water during coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc.
