Meningitis.-Cerebral.-

Spinal.-

  • Aco. 3, 1h. Acute, with fever, restlessness, fear, dry skin.
  • Gels. 1-30, 1h. With complete prostration, numbness, tremor.
  • Bry. 3, 1h. Pains in various parts, < on the least attempt at movement.
  • Oxal. Ac. 3x, 1h. Stiffness and paralysis of the lower limbs.

    Cerebro-Spinal ("Typhoid Meningitis." "Spotted Fever").-

  • (1) Meningococcin. 6-30, 4h. (2) Cicuta Virosa 3, 1h.
  • Crotal. 3, 1h. When the fever is of a low typhoid kind and symptoms of blood-poisoning predominate.
  • Am. C. 200, 2-4h. Intense pain below and behind ears (< 1.) extending to nape and occiput.
  • Act. R. 3, ½ h. Should other remedies fail to relieve the spasm.
  • Gelsem. 1, 2h. During the spasms. After- effects, paralysis.



    Paraplegia.-

  • Arn. 3, 2h. From accident; locally, the spine to be rubbed and liniment consisting of Arn. 1x, a drachm, spirit one ounce, distilled water to three ounces. This to be used night and morning and to be rubbed on for eight minutes with hand.
  • Hyperic. -30, 2h. If Arn. fails to bring about improvement in one or two weeks. And apply a liniment of Hyperic Q in the same proportions to be applied in the same way.
  • Gels. 1, 4h. Use after Hyperic.
  • Arg. Nit. 6, 4h. From exhaustion; from contusion; sexual excess; post-diphtheritic.
  • Lathy. 3x, 4h. With rigidity, spasm, and exaggerated reflexes; after Lathy. Secale 1, 4h.
  • Kali. Iod. If there is syphilitic history, or if the others fail.
  • Mer. Cor. 3x, gtt. i. 4h. If there is syphilitic history, or if the others fail.
  • Cuper. 6, 4h. Spasmodic paralysis with wasting of muscle.
  • Pic. Ac. 30, 6h. Great weakness of the muscles, especially of lower limbs, heaviness, weariness, hands and feet go to sleep, pains, great sexual excitement.
